CACHE COUNTY, Utah, July 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The pilot of a single-engine plane was flown to an area hospital after his single-engine craft went down in Cache County on Thursday morning.

The crash was reported by another pilot who witnessed it, and who notified authorities at about 10:15 a.m.

A LifeFlight helicopter was dispatched to the scene, according to a statement from the Cache County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s office officials were flown to the crash site by the Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter to start the investigation. The FAA was notified, and is expected to respond to the scene.

“At this time there is no information as to the cause of the crash and no information is being released concerning the pilot,” the statement said. “More information will be available as the investigation continues.”
